SFDP Leads Relief Effort for Augusta After Hurricane Helene

When Hurricane Helene struck Augusta, six of our dental practices were forced to close temporarily, waiting on power and water restoration. One of our offices sustained severe damage when a tree crashed through the roof. Though we’ve managed to reopen, many of our employees are still facing extensive damage to their homes and neighborhoods in addition to the unexpected expenses of temporary evacuation of the area.

Our Augusta team is more than just part of Southern Family Dental Partners—they are pillars of the community, with many members having served here for over 20 years, both in dentistry and through volunteer efforts. Before joining us, they ran private practices that prioritized community health, and they continue giving back through Georgia’s Mission of Mercy as well as events like the HBCU Annual Health Fair and 5K fundraisers for student scholarships. Our team members regularly visit schools to educate kids on dental health, and our offices welcome students for internships and shadowing opportunities to inspire future dental professionals.

Now, as they work tirelessly to restore their homes and their lives, they need our help. Every contribution you make to this relief effort for Augusta will directly impact our Augusta area employees, enabling them to rebuild and continue serving the community they love.

Southern Family Dental Partners wants to ensure all of our partners are able to continue to deliver the excellent dental care those in their communities. Through similar funds to this relief effort for Augusta, we can contribute to making a positive impact for all of our communities. This is why Southern Family Dental Partners strives to offer humanatiarian assistance to our communities in need.

Thank you for standing with us and supporting our dental family during this challenging time.
